LexFA meetings are held once a month, normally on the second Sunday, at 2:00 PM Eastern time. We have a Halloween Party the first Saturday in November, and other meetings may be moved to a different Saturday or Sunday to avoid conflicts with holidays or nearby conventions.
Our meetings are held at various locations in and around Lexington. Sometimes we have informal gatherings in members’ homes. Other meetings have been held at the Lexington Public Library and at Joseph-Beth Booksellers, and even in Louisville. Past guest speakers include authors Jean Lorrah and Lawrence Watt-Evans and fantasy artists Larry Elmore and Laura Reynolds. We also have occasional road trips to such destinations as Fort Boonesborough State Park and the Ohio Renaissance Fair.
Most of our members live in central Kentucky, but LexFAns range from Seattle WA to Sound Beach NY, and even to Canada! How do we all keep in touch? Many of them have subscribed to the LexFA-l mailing list. To join our online meeting, just go to Sign-up and fill out the online form.
If you’re going to be in the area, why not join us in person? Flyers are posted to LexFA-l a few days before each meeting, or you can have them emailed to you directly. (Or if you’re in the Louisville area, you may want to check out our sister group, NOTA.)
We’re waiting to meet you!
